What’s a Misao?  To tell you the truth we aren't really sure, so we’ll get straight to why we do what we do.  We started Misao Apparel for one reason; we think a small band of designers can do a better job than a huge corporation. We think we can produce better stuff than what’s out there and we hope you’ll agree with us.  Eventually, we might get around to writing a better origin story, but for now we’ve got to get busy printing. 

Now on to the question that probably brought you here:  How do you pronounce Misao?  There’s no correct answer to that.  As with our shirts, what you do with our name is up to you, but around here we pronounce our name Mih Say Ohh.
